Our story
A young Debrecen idea built around a real housing problem
Sofistay started in Debrecen, Hungary — a university city where student life, international education, short-term stays, and long-term rental demand all meet in one fast-moving housing market. A good listing can disappear quickly, while incomplete or unclear listings can easily confuse people who do not know the city yet.
The original idea came from Györfi Zsófi, an 18-year-old student from Debrecen. She is not looking at this problem from the outside: alongside her studies, she is also involved in Airbnb-style apartment hosting, so she understands how difficult it can be to present a property clearly, communicate with guests or tenants, and build trust with people who have never met before.
Sofistay was built to make this process simpler, clearer, and safer. We are not trying to create just another anonymous listing board. We are building a focused housing platform where listings are presented in a structured way, where Hungarian and international users can understand the details more easily, and where advertisers can showcase their properties in a more professional, trustworthy format.

Alongside her studies, she is also involved in Airbnb-style apartment hosting, which gives her practical insight into why clear descriptions, good photos, fast communication, and trust matter so much.
Györfi Gyula
Györfi Gyula is the founder of Trinity Security Kft. and Trinity Guard®. He supports Sofistay with technical, organizational, and security-focused experience.
The goal is not to create another anonymous listing website, but a platform where trust, moderation, and transparency create real value.
